Newsflash: First exam paper for the year
I think I screwed up for the most part. Yup, that sums up a lot.
My English letter writing format was pathetic, and I was so unsure for the Chinese one that I wasted so much time flipping through the dictionary for every word used there just to be sure. Chose the alternative question in the end. DAMMIT. Shit shit shit.... BAD. But Chinese listening went well. The first 2 parts were like, so... so boring. But it went well anyhow.
At least there's something I can be happy about. Duh, the only thing that's left to say... Eng compo. *sigh*..... I put in so much effort and sweat and inspiration into that compo I went feverish after that (SERIOUSLY!!!).... felt really dizzy as though I've never eaten a single morsel since yesterday. Speak of the devil.... the title was HUNGER. Yeah.... maybe it was cos of the title.
Dammit.... writing always takes away a lot of strength from me, as though I've been fighting with the pen and paper. Unlike my other sickly compos, which have absolutely NO sense of direction and no clear style, I think this one made it just on the dot. So I guess I can say I'm proud. Unlike my other stuff, that are deadpan and lifeless, I actually felt *disgusted* when I re-read the Hunger compo. Disgusted as in I actually FELT something.... then I was like, *finally!!*, I've written *something* that's just plain good.
So I hope just plain good can win the marker's appreciation.
Ya noez..... I'm goin CRAZY.
Literature is driving me up da wall. Last night, I imagined my dad came to my room to say g'nite but I think I doubted myself and went out the room, and there he was, sitting like a 'swaddled lump of flesh' in front of mr. google box. Me thinks I'm becoming like Captain Nameless. And me becoming seasick. Hahaz.... 'Our hands met gropingly, lingered united in a steady, motionless clasp for a second...'. Like, GASP. Ohoh ohz...!! and before that, 'our eyes met; several seconds elapsed, till, our glances still mingled, I extended my hand and turned the lamp out'.....OoooOoOo....-censored-...=due to the inexplicably horrendous nature of this misconception, blogger has deleted this R(A) scene for the benefit of the innocent, unaware, and puzzled=
Captain nameless & Leggatt whispering in a lurve boat... hahahahaaha..... wHatever. How seasick sweet.
Anywayz.... doing a maths hw now. STUCK. *whimper* Kinetics sucks. Everything's driving me INSANE. But rather be insane and eccentric than plain NORMAL and boring.... hahahahaha..... shalalalala BOOM BOOM.
Ya see what it's done to my perfectly (not so) functioning brain?? The population of brain cells deplete hundred by hundred each day, and soon, even my hair will fall due to their loss of intellectual knowledge that hair strands DO stick to the head, and I'll be but 'a headless corpse!!'. Yahhhaa....!!! *Ahem ahem*....
Neva mind... I'll just go now. Like, what was I doing here in the first place?? Oh yeah, 'looking for land wind'... *whole crew faints*
Done with everything except Literature essay.... half-way through the first question. Man, I hope she gives us extra time to complete it, cos I strained myself to finish all the Maths homework this morning and afternoon, and now.... gotta headache.
Slept at 1am last night (morning) doing that damn essay. Can't even finish a freaking question. This... this insane character we're studying really has a complicated mind, and I'm caught up in it. I mean, is Leggatt real or WHAT?? C and L are like, gay, man.... *hee heez* how cute.
kayz... the art exhibition was, erm... to say the least, I kinda expected *more*... I dunno how to call it.... I don't think it was an absolute *failure*, it just didn't really appeal to the majority school population. *sigh*.... alright, it was boring. But the art was good. The pieces were like, either excellent, or plain boring.
There were 2 particular pics I loved.... forgot the artists' names..... anywayz, one was this cool, greyish painting of the Great Wall of China, and this river flowing through. Very real, very cool. The artist dropped splotches of grey paint in the most perfect of areas which made this awesome, olden, medieval effect. Like a time confusion. Another pic was that of a graveyard. Didn't read the words on the headstones but I'm sure they meant something....
*sighz*.... guess it wasn't a total wasted effort. On the negative side, Lydia lost her necklace. I thought she put it in her pocket or something, cos she didn't want her junior to see her with it.... haha..... then maybe it dropped. It was nice, wonder why she wanted to hide it.... haha.... we spent half the time contemplating where it went, and her hands got stuck in her pockets while looking for them.....
Gotta rush for Lit..... pwease pwease let the deadline be extended.....
In the blink of an eye everyone will be in Poly or JC.... maybe even forget some people.
It's terribly sad, but life's like that. The mid-years are like, *here*, and I consider myself slacking. At this rate, nothing will be accomplished. And the stress..... there's not much stress for me, cos I slack. Baaaaad sign. I can't even escape through music. Not all music can destress you. Like.... when you turn on the radio after a horrid 2.4 run and Faint by Linkin Park blasts through the air...yea, that won't help. Then when you just SLACK all day and think, ah heck I can study after a 4 hour nap, the song Guilty by Blue comes drifting in from the neighbour's room.
Life can be so subtle in the hints it gives us.
Last night I went to Happy Tree Friends webbie to de-stress. Didn't have appetite for dinner after that.
Then went to see pictures of the Jewish holocaust for the project. Didn't eat desert at all.
It's crazy. We've got a project to complete when we're supposed to be studying. (shan't say badie bad thingies on the webbie about a certain blondie cos some goodie goodie might be reading it) Next time I'll find out from other classes if there's any project (specifically ENGLISH) which we need to complete. Then we wouldn't have to be shocked and betrayed when a *certain* teacher comes in class, scolding us cos SHE was late, then saying that the project (which was supposed to be due in term 3) is now due on.... tada! This FRIDAY! Oh wow, like, that's the greatest news man.... -__-;;
Gasp. What the hell.... need to study study study. Over n OUT!!!
Tired. Feel so sick. *urgh...*
I wanna sleeeepp... but gotta go for haircut later on.. my hair's so long, and the sun's near the equator. No good mix. Haiz.... my england veri powderful today, so I'll rattle on.....
Wanna go out and buy CDs..... so much good music out there. Oh yesh, and speaking of music, watched AI last night, and I cannot express my happiness to all of you out there when JPL got voted off!!!! Can't stand to see him dancing anymore. I dunno.... whenever I see his face I wanna punch him, and when he was with John Stevens waiting for the results, he was like, pouting his mouth (like he thinks it's so cute) and he had this I-don't-think-I'M-gonna-be-voted-off-tonight-cos-I-did-SO-damn-well expression....
Anywayz, he's out, and that's the best news I've heard this week.
Yupz, a lot a lot a lot a lot of politics going on, and it's so stupid at times. Like, sometimes, one person is wrong, sometimes other people are wrong, sometimes, both parties are misunderstood, and peace is shattered.
Yay... got a dark & light blue converse jacket-shirt-whatever. And a light blue & white Fila sleeveless (gasp) shirt. Sugoi!!!!!! Both very very nice.... hehez... and I LURVE my black Swatch.... like, I lost count on how many I've got. Wanted to buy (more) shoes but my parents were like, 'ARGH! NOT ANOTHER PAIR!' so wad to do.... I WILL one day have all the nicest Adidas sport shoes flowing in the store room, tumbling out of boxes and drawers. And matching Swatch watches.
....my neighbour's playing Josh Groban at his window like he's the only one alive in this block. But since it's Josh Groban I'll not complain. Very Christian family next door. Dunno leh.... maybe he heard my Black Eyed Peas music through the open window and went like, 'gasp, what nonsensical lyrics! i shall shut it out with the saintly Josh Groban!'....
XP me baaad today.

Wow. I actually studied today. Now *that's* something.
*sigh*.... desiree's calling and calling. I'll go mad one day. After she does. Too many probs, man... too many.... The exams are like, so close. Can't be fooling around anymore. And in the midst of all this, there's a Physics test to study for, and Chinese, which could make me go nutters.
Alright. I think I should forewarn all you people out there: it's a bloody important announcement. There's a disease spreading around this little island of Singapore. Bigger than bird flu, yes. It has more frightening effects than SARS, yup, you heard right. Symptoms include dancing vigorously to even the slightest music and fluctuating fever. Yes, it is:
*newsflash* Saturday - Night - FEVER. *end of flash*
And, I'm ever so happy to say that I have caught it. The cure includes tons of tests and homework, and to make the sickness die down completely, a mix of a certain Chem teacher running up to my ass demanding an answer as to why the speed of reaction is so and so, PLUS a certain, UM, Maths teacher piling us with TYS work.
Sadly, the cure should be ready by next week.
But in the meantime, I shall enjoy this disease and bask in its sweet warmth while a thousand images dance in my mind's eye.
The first carrier of the disease was this sleek dude, and once he did that finger-in-the-air-legs-wide-apart stance, there's no escaping *GASP* the SNF (sat night fever). Everyone in the esplanade got it. The sickness took on some quicker than others. At the last part of the show when they were dancing to every famous Bee Gees song, this woman in the front row stood up and started workin' it, man!! Then everyone else on the ground floor started exhibiting similar acts of the symptoms too!
I was at the second box next to the stage and the speakers were like, directly above us, and my ears started ringing right after the show, and it still rings.
It was awesome. Everything about it was spectacular. If you've got no reason to go watch it, I'll drag you to the esplanade if I have to. If you don't want to, I'll strap you to the seat and MAKE you. And if you haven't watched it, after the crew leaves s'pore, I'll slap you silly till you see a thousand John Travoltas shaking his ass in front of your eyes.
Power to the Fever.... haha...
All in all the best April Fool's Day in my life ^__^
Had 2 free periods today because Thurai was sick (oh my goodness *finally*), so we decided to go bother Mrs Tan in the next class...hehe. We like, -sneaked- to the back of 4C1 class dragging our chairs with us... so the laughing and horrid scraping of concrete against metal made a lot of difference.... anyway we went through the back door of the class and just settled ourselves there like nobody's business! It was like, the best thing we've done, ever, in school.
Jessica and Sharon were demonstrating that simple magic trick Mrs Tan showed all her Lit classes... and man, 4C1 are like, so ON. And bloody *happening*. Very cool. Jessica and Sharon were so funny and all, and now we know why there's always so much noise coming from their class every time. We used to find it disrupting sometimes, but now, it doesn't matter at all.
Their class is funky.... wish 4B2 would be the same. Oh yeah right.... we would't know a joke even if it came crashing through the front door holding chairs and Lit textbooks. Mrs Tan was nice too.... it wouldn't be fun if like, we played that joke on Thurai. She'll most probably go, 'Girls, I know today is the day where, alright, you get to... administrate these jokes on, UM, your friends and the like... but okay, the mid-year exams are, UM, just around the corner, okay...'
At least she was sick today, otherwise we wouldn't play any tricks on teachers, and we'll be extra-ed out, cos B1 played a trick on Mrs Pang.... haha, that explains the outbursts of laughter every now and then today....
Best day this week. Duh. A mighty destresser. We need more of those.... but the school won't allow that kind of crap cos they want -no, NEED- their sec 4s to be hardworking nerds for now. We are the slackers of this generation, what do they want to expect, man??
