Sigh....been very uptight lately. Maybe it's a mental stress thing. It's like, I'm shouting at people and I've not been myself. I don't like it when I'm stressed. Whatever. I'm starting to have a lot of time to think, and that's not really a good thing. I'm starting to question some friendships, and I don't think I'd want (or try to) remember some of them, cos they don't deserve to be remembered. They're not friends at all.

Anyway, on to other crap. Watched Mamma Mia, and I guess it was quite good, but I seemed to like Forbidden City better. The plot from Mamma Mia was ok, but towards the end it was really draggy....hmm. Four stars. I loved the cast. They were so relaxed on stage as though they practically lived there. It was hyper natural.

You'll have to watch everything else to judge for yourself. I won't tell you the plot cos I'm not in the mood.

I'm back, minasan!!! And with a lotta things to say... Prelims over, and now we have to worry about results more than anything else. Predicted my grades, and I'll still get 20+ for L1R5, so.... who cares?

Anyhow, had time to go to the one-night-only Kitaro concert at Suntec Convention centre last night... hehe, was slacking for the most part, but the concert was worth it. To start of, I met one of the most important people this year in Singapore. BUT I didn't get to hug him, didn't even get to shake his hand. Yes, it's our very own syusyoo...PM Lee!

We were running kinda late for the concert, so we went into the very first restaurant we saw. Penneng dunno-watsisname. Only Asian food and stuff. Looked quite horrible at first, but thank our lucky stars we chose to go in there. We were seated at a section just outside the private section where the PM was sitting, and we didn't even know we weren't originally allowed to sit there. Cos it's the PM, man.... he needs his SPACE.

When we sat at our table, one of these 3 guys sitting at the far end kept smiling at us so widely.... like the joker. I was like, what's your problem? Didn't realise that they were the PM's bodyguards. They dressed funny, like people from China having a business talk. THEN, half-way through dinner, THE man came through the covered section of the restaurant with his wife, and his thugs trailing behind him closely like loyal puppies. Realisation hit me after a while, and I got so excited I choked on my laksa. The person at the next table saw me and was laughing inside.

First obvious thing, he didn't smile, so no one really realised it was him until five seconds later. Secondly, he looks intimidating when he doesn't smile. He always gives that big, thin puppet-like smile during speeches and stuff, and when he doesn't smile..... it's very... scary. Thirdly, he's taller than all his security people. He had on this broad grey jacket which made him look huge. No one could possibly miss him. So much for privacy.

He came back with food on his plate (it was a buffet), again with his faithful little puppies lining behind him, as though waiting for him to throw them a morsel or something. Woof. Woof woof.

Hmm.... he looks kinda charming close up. Anyway, when he left, every head turned his way, and my mum waved to him like some rabid fangirl and he waved back. So sweet. He smiled, too. SO, since the PM himself left, we must have been late. We just gobbbled up our dessert and went on our way. Heh, our waiter was so excited he was like, "Did you see THE MAN?' like a street punk when my dad was paying the bill.

Kitaro was wonderful. I've never felt like that ever, at any concert.

Many pieces were written by him for many movies, like Heaven and Earth (my fave) and Silk Road, plus Light of the Spirit and some more stuff whose names I dunno yet. Okay, about Kitaro, for you out there who are totally oblivious to the world and are blinking at your screen in confusion - he's a composer and synthesist from Japan. Very passionate about his music. Very dedicated to every aspect of music. I won't be surprised if he eats and sleeps and dreams music.

He's like, the very personification of music. Haha....long, shaggy, dry hair. Like the ones in shampoo ads (before and after...use Dove, and your hair will maintain its smoothness etc). Oh man, the music was blasting SO freaking loudly like a Linkin Park concert at the Padang. He was beating that large wadaiko with so much strength I thought his arms would snap off. Sigh, pity PM Lee who had to sit at the front row and tolerate the booming stereo.

During the interval I was waiting for his return, but I guess he went back, cos it's only a formality thing to come and go as the PM. Besides, daddy's waiting to tuck him into bed. And I've been warming my left hand all the while specially to shake his hand (he's left-handed too). Haha.... can't imagine myself going up to him saying, "Mr PM, I'm Singapore's future PM! Please vote for me!". Spastic kid.

Oh yeah. Vote for me. I promise a prosperous S'pore with blue and purple trees (thriving tourism) and LESS homework. Children need to balance time between play and study. Children need to have fun too. Though irritating, they are our future. Sadly.

-Revert back to Kitaro- Wow. He got an encore from some really crazy fans, probably Japanese. He took a while to come out to perform Light of the Spirit, which was magical. You'd have to be there to feel it. And so ends my rant for the time being. Most probably will return here on Saturday to tell you about Mamma Mia. Yups, watching it on Sat. It's like, so sold-out. Didn't manage to get a box, but it's a....tolerable seat.

"The wars in the world don't come from outer space. People create them, people who have a war within themselves. I want to create music that eases that war within." --Kitaro.
