The 'O's are in a week's time, do I have to say more?
Feels like I'm made to study. Nowadays, it's like my life has turned SO bland. There's nothing in my life worth seriously living for....I just want to, erm.... see, I have no idea what I wanna do. The latest thing in mind was to set up a company with (permanent employers) vanessa c. and lydia, then maybe we can recruit some trustworthy employees that we know personally.
Tough luck. I like gaming... at one point in time I wanted to be a professional gamer. So the funnest job on earth, but slack. Then I wanted to be an interior designer, but when I thought about it, there was like, no FIRE in that kind of job. Later, an architect, and I'd build a huge 19th century cathedral in s'pore....and there goes our maximum land use.
The best thing is to become the PM. I'm not in it for money or whatever....just that at least I know that I can meet Lee Hsien Long before I die, and erm, yeah. Okay, met him in person, but never talked. Then I can get to go to other countries and meet THEIR PMs...how cool's that.
....but then, I'll have to play GOLF with them, because majority of the old people out there seem to love golf (like, what happened to their brains?) and make a fool out of myself in front of some country's PM. Bah.
Okay, enough blah blah. Gotta sleep cos tmr gotta wake up early (um, 9?) to play bball with lydia. Need to wake ourselves up...
Uhh...ate about half of what Lydia gave me for my bdae. Chocolate full. Gonna go sugar high soon. Just see. And while I'm waiting for that, I've decided to list down some of the things we've learnt (and failed at) during the past year. It's our last year in PL.......sigh. And I cannot feel any better.
1) Relative velocity. Ah, the precious crucial chapter for Singapore's future pilots and captains. I might never fly or cruise again next time, knowing that a great lot of us can't decide whether we should turn eastward or southward or on a bearing of 270 or 30 or shit the boat just crashed. Bravo, bravo to Captain Nameless who was one of the very few who conquered it.
2) Map-reading. Didn't study it at all for mid-year and got a seven. Studied it like shit for Prelims and got a five. Conclusion: relax, don't push yourself, for you might not know what great things you can do when...you don't.
3) The Secret Sharer by Joseph Conrad. Hm, not for the electives, and fortunate enough for you. After reading it again tonight, I got so confused I came with the conclusion that Leggatt is flesh and bone, and Captain Nameless needs to be sent to the nearest asylum before 'Oh bless my soul! You don't say so!' commits suicide. Sorry mr. Conrad, if you're tossing in your grave. But I'd gladly take this back if you could have put in more (ahem) 'action' between Leggatt and Captain Nameless....
4) The Machine Stops by EM Foster. Again, not for the Fortunate Ones. Eh, excellent story, but drives me nuts. Are people that stupid? Are we that stupid? I read one part of the story and I realised that Kuno wasn't all that good looking anyhow. "The very hair that disfigured his lip..." Gasp. A dude with hairs on his lip. Or whatever that means.
5) English summary. Aren't they just training us to be perfect book-summarisers? Goodness, what IS it with vocab? It's not like we're never gonna have a dictionary in our lives which we can refer to.
6) Chemistry, as a whole. Now that we don't need these test tubes anymore...*CRASH!* Muahahaha..... so long suckers! Eat hydrochloric acid in yer FACE!
7) Moment of force. Sorry to Mr. Lenz and Newton and Faraday. I just...don't think you guys had a childhood during your times.
Baby Newton: Oooh....steady the ruler with that weight! Steady...steady.... NO! *furiously pounds calculator* Use a 5N force! Yes on the 20cm mark! Almost there....almost....NO! The ruler TILTED! WAH!!!!! DADDY!!!!!!
8) Shearing. I'd like to do that do a certain ERM Monster's head too.
8)Probability. Well, it's probably one of the weirdest chapters ever taught. You see, the probability of me touching it ever again in the future is approximately 1/100000.
10) Everyone's nightmare: View from the Bridge. Catherine, stop making a fool of yourself and LENGTHEN that friggin skirt of yours for everyone's sake! Rodolfo....just go buy that motorbike and ride...ride as fast as you can out of America. Eddie...... stay dead.
Okkies. That's about it until the next time. But you know, the probability of me having another long-term hiatus is 9/10, but so is the probability of me burning all my notes after the exams. Wheehee! I'm gonna miss you, Blackie, Captain Nameless, Kuno! But you'll be in a better place after I'm done with you.
I officially turned 16 today at 4:57pm. Of course, I don't feel any older. Good thing is that I never have to worry again if a movie I really wanna watch is NC-16. Sixteen is such a significant year, but then again, I had it on a Sunday, with 4 and more hours of tution. I only seriously enjoyed 2 parts of the day: when I ate my cake, and when I met meeko, vt and shiyun during tution.
I never told friends at the maths tution when my b.dae was, and if I did say it today I think they'll make a big thing out of it and yeah...I want peace on this day. Sigh....worst thing was, Jun Chen came into class today smelling like a blast furnace. (don't tell!) Bloody idiot. Smoking again. The smell was so terrible I think everyone went really quiet and stopped breathing for a moment. What a stinky 16th b.day.
But anyway, I'm just glad cos I've got wonderful peeps! Yesh. Sigh. Wow...I'm 16. That's hard to believe. I want to stay this way.... opps, no! Then I would not be able to become Prime Minister!
