Did them braces today.
Um, my mouth kinda itches. Really itches. The process wasn't as scary as plucking the teeth out. It wouldn't have been painful at all if that stupid dentist hadn't put that weird mouth-mold thing to keep my mouth open. It hurt, cos he often pressed down on it while he was doing the wacko dental stuff and they cut my gums.
Yeah. Was pissed and attempted to wrench his fingers off but he said, 'don't bite, just open'. The hell...Expect no gentle treatment from anyone with a surgical mask and creepy oral tools in his hand. EVIL. Pure EVIL.
Braces. They look weird and dorky. Stupid, I tell you. I hate these. 6 months later I'll be able to take them off and wear the retractable things. Whatever you call them.
So troublesome. Have to use different toothbrush. Have to use thin brushy-looking thingies to brush in between the braces and teeth. Have to eat with the RIGHT side of the mouth. No eating with the front teeth please. Oh yeah, cos the braces will probably be destroyed by my regular eating habits.
Feel like there's plain nonesense in my mouth. Not really uncomfortable to the point of insanity, just a tad annoying, if you've got a low threshold for pain like I do. Can't eat a lot of things. Like COOKIES...sob...hard stuff, basically. Yeah, it's hell. Sigh...6 months...I'm counting down the days already...
Halfway through my process of doing braces....the foul things. Had to extract 2 precious teeth from the top. Painfully long, scary and traumatising process. It was fine at first, really. The dentist dude injected my GUMS with something. I couldn't even rinse my mouth simple cos it didn't feel like my own. It was like my mouth was numb and swollen and...it was the strangest feeling on earth.
Extracting and injecting weren't painful. It was the thought that was more frightening. The dentist totally twisted and turned those scary pincer-looking-thingies and I could FEEL something in my mouth coming out. It sucked, cos I knew I was gonna miss those teeth.
Okay, so the process wasn't that bad. The aftermath sucked worse.
The areas where my teeth used to be were bleeding nonstop. I tasted blood and oral-surgery-equipment things on my tongue. I didn't mind the taste of blood. It uh....was tasty.
When the dentist showed me the teeth he so cruelly plucked out, I FREAKED. Firstly, I had no idea they were gonna be THAT long and bloody. So THAT was why it felt like tree roots being detatched from my mouth. Oh shit, the roots were twice as long as the teeth themselves. Oh gross. I think there was blood everywhere, cos the nurse kept wiping it away from my face. *BLEH*
Been such a long time since I last plucked a tooth out. 2 teeth in this case. 2 FULLY GROWN ones. With long pointy roots dripping with blood. The thought was nice to me at first, but it was weird cos they were my own.
Now, I live and eat with 2 significant gaps in my mouth. I can't even bite a cookie without gauging where I should start biting first and continue chewing there. It's like being a 16 year old tooth-less baby. I thought it would be fine, but it sucks to not enjoy food.
The real thing comes next week friday.
Hell awaits. I'm just bracing myself.....No pun intended.
