Ah....I think it's been over a month since I've been in here...as you've realised this has almost become my permanent template sa...

The chingay piece (1m by 1m plastic sheet) was completed in school on Thursday. Apparently, the lesson was cancelled, for no reason. 4 people stayed back in the studio to finish up their plastic sheet paintings..including me. It's eh...a painting of a twisted sakura tree and a twisted sun with funky (believe it) pink hills in the background. Um...I think it looks better than it sounds. I couldn't have done better, with 2 nights sleeping at 3.30am straight just to complete it. Just spare a second for it at orchard road ya? It doesn't really have solid colours, but it's because there's gradation (as in, tonal value). I used a cheap method, but I was kinda taken aback that my lec liked it altogether. So did my friends...so..I'm happy enough.

I heard that lotsa people bothered to stay in school until like..10pm to do their chingay stuff. My classmate's painting was destroyed in the night because it kinda..stuck together and I think the paint got ripped. He had to redo it I think...the rain and wind were cruel that night.

My lanturn idea has changed from a pheonix to the character I designed in ideation class. Yup, that rubbery, rounded bird named Chidori. It's just a rubbery rounded bird, really, nothing special at all. The only thing that seems to captivate my classmates is........its cuddly cuteness. Um, andrea said that. Something about it being cuddly.

Dammit, I haven't even started on it yet. This means I'm totally fried. Some say the deadline is on Friday. Some guy said it's really on next Monday. Other than that, I've got 2 more group projects to complete (both of which I really dont give a damn about), and an assignment that doesn't look all that important but I'm giving it my 100%.

Can you believe it? I'm really gonna finish my first sketchbook! Haha...I've never really got to finish any sketchbook in my life. This one, I'm really proud of. It's got manga scenes drawn on the cover...I used Prisma markers for that because the ink just sips in cleanly, leaving no lines. For some reason, that makes it all the more personal. We were actually told to personalise our stuff (including folios for all subjects and sketchbooks). Being the psycho, rigid and ever free nutter I am, I did just that, while alot of people didn't even bother. Ever since the first time I stepped into class, I expected a lot from my classmates, seeing how crazily creative they are. They really are, only kinda slack.

These people really are good. When I transfer from interactive media design to diploma in moving images, I think I'll see more crazy stuff they come up with. I duno...sometimes I really wish like..maybe if meeko and des and lydia were here in tp I'll be alot happier. It's already fortunate to have andrea here in the same course...but it would be radical (does anyone even USE this weird word nowadays?) to have someone I know in other school. Eto....I see gloria and delphinia most of the time...always at the bus stop.

Sigh....it seems really slack on the outside, but at home, everyone's rushing like shit to complete this and that. I can't remember a single time when I sat on the bus to school and started to rest my head somewhere to sleep. I didn't believe in sleeping on buses until I entered Poly. I didn't believe in drawing on buses until I entered my course. Surprisingly, I didn't get sick or anything. I've been drawing more anime than usual and after drawing essentials class I think me and everyone else has gotten better. Weird. But its cool.

Hm...I hope I don't have a virus in this com...all these bloody pop-ups.....telling me to upgrade my com or else its gonna be shit. Whatever. I better go now...havent finished this stupid hw for tomorrow....im going to school real early with a friend to do it but I think it's better to have some kind of head start.

If I have time (or even the confidence that no one would steal it) I would scan and post up some of the precious drawings and sketches I've been working on ever since I entered Poly and didn't have the chance to meet up with anyone. Nah...I don't think they're screwy drawings.
